ARTHUR M. BLANK DONOR WALL
Arthur M. Blank has had an incredible impact on Babson College. To honor his generosity, The Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership and I worked directly with his team to build a wall that would encapsulate all of his legacy.
PROCESS
I started with an overall idea and then passed it over to our copywriters to develop the content to fit. We originally wanted a colorful base, but after debriefing, we decided that a more neutral base would allow the photos to stand out. Throughout this process, the overall vision remained consistent, and minor adjustments were made to the artifacts and timeline as more information became available. By adding the measurements to the working file and having a person for scale, I was able to visually see how these items would turn out once printed in real life. I also printed out test prints of the different text and elements to ensure they all fit together.
DE-MASKING
Photoshop and Lightroom were called in to adjust this amazing photo we had of Blank with our founder, Roger Babson’s statue. After tracking down what time of day this photo was taken and aligning that with the sunrise I was able to get an almost identical shot of the head without a mask. The image was then imported into Lightroom to adjust the colors and then into Photoshop to match the background. While I was at it I enriched the coloring to be vibrant when printed.
